Amazon thinks this is a good thing?

1. Why is Amazon investing in Chinese energy?  Amazon is pouring resources into clean energy to benefit foreign infrastructure. These projects are expected to produce hundreds of thousands of megawatt-hours worth of energy each year, and have created at peak, over 800 jobs. Perhaps however, a question we should ask - Why not use those resources and job opportunities at home? [Learn more].

2. Venmo added as a payment method to Amazon which is good news for its parent, PayPal and customers alike with more spending flexibility with the money sending service. Amazon will have this feature available to its U.S. shoppers by Black Friday (Nov 25, 2022) [Learn more].

3. Temu - a Chinese shopping app rises to the top. On Monday October 17th Temu, a Chinese direct-to-consumer shopping app rises to No. 1 on Apple's app store. Temu's rise to prominence is in contrast with many other shopping platforms such as Wish and Etsy, who have seen significant growth from social networks, while Temu's growth has come largely from advertising. 4. FELCO and Amazon file joint lawsuit against counterfeiters. Fake FELCO tools have been discovered and the two companies are attempting to stop their sale. Felco cites the inability of a copycat product to replicate the quality of the original, and Amazon affirms their responsibility for protecting customers and brands against counterfeiters in a statement from Kebharu Smith, director of Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit. 5. Amazon rolls out new Inventory Ledger report in attempt to make sellers job easier by combining 6 reports into 1. The Inventory Ledger report will replace these 6 reports which will be discontinued and unavailable after Jan 31, 23:

  • Daily Inventory History

  • Monthly Inventory History

  • Inventory Event Detail

  • Inventory Adjustments

  • Inventory Reconciliation

  • Received Inventory

*If your team uses these reports make sure they know to switch by Jan 31
