Fighting a war on multiple fronts?

1. Amazon launching a Tik-Tok-esk shopping app. Amazon intends no doubt to replicate at least some of Tik-Tok's success in driving traffic with its own video sharing app, Inspire. Once this is done, the seller giant will then use its algorithm to put specific videos in front of specific viewers to increase conversions. It's all ironic because recently we saw that TikTok started a shop, and now Amazon is starting a video app. [Learn more].

2. Rising costs and lowering storage space at Amazon. We already knew the ecommerce giant is increasing fees next year, but it's also decreasing storage space. Amazon faults sellers who hold too much inventory, the same reason they gave for increasing fees. The problem with extending these consequences to everyone is such that those who need the invaluable Prime storage space are unable to get or even buy it as Amazon is taking that freedom from its sellers. 3. Elon Musk is reiterating economic concerns. Musk recently sent out a message on newly acquired Twitter again confirming widespread unease; "At risk of stating obvious, beware of debt in turbulent macroeconomic conditions, especially when Fed keeps raising rates." [Musk's Tweet].

4. Walmart is expanding its online capabilities. Walmart is supporting startup venture named "One." The goal of this effort will be to allow financially burdened shoppers, or those looking for an alternative payment plan to makes purchases now and pay later. [Learn more].

5. Ebay lowers shipping rates on some packages. The online selling platform is making life easier on sellers by lowering shipping costs on packages up to 5 pounds in zones 1-4. This comes as refreshing news in light of some recent downturns in the ecommerce world. [Learn more].
